The Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course provides comprehensive training for individuals who need to act as first aiders in medium to high-risk workplaces.   1. Introduction to First Aid

    • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider.
    • Understanding workplace first aid legislation.
    • Incident management and risk assessment.
  2. Primary Survey and Scene Management

    • Conducting a primary survey using DR ABC.
    • Ensuring the safety of the casualty, yourself, and bystanders.
  3. Basic Life Support (BLS)

    • Adult, child, and infant CPR techniques.
    • Using an automated external defibrillator (AED).
    • Managing choking casualties.
  4. Managing Unresponsive Casualties

    • Placing a casualty in the recovery position.
    • Dealing with suspected spinal injuries.
    • Identifying and managing agonal breathing.
  5. Injury and Wound Management

    • Managing severe bleeding using dressings and tourniquets.
    • Treating minor wounds, cuts, and abrasions.
    • First aid for burns, scalds, and chemical injuries.
